Rewiring

Is it time to rewire?

Wiring doesn't last forever. Older installations with rubber or fabric-insulated cables, round-pin sockets or a fuse box with rewireable fuses are likely to need replacing, and many homes now have far more appliances than the original wiring was designed for.

We carry out full and partial rewires for houses, flats and rented properties across Greater Manchester. We'll survey your property, agree a clear plan and a fixed price, and keep dust and disruption to a minimum by working room by room where we can.

Every rewire includes a new consumer unit with RCD protection, testing of every circuit, an Electrical Installation Certificate and Building Regulations notification.

Areas we cover: Manchester, Salford, Stockport, Trafford, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside and Wigan, across Greater Manchester.

Rewiring: your questions answered

How long does a rewire take?

A typical three-bedroom house takes around five to ten working days, depending on the size of the property, access and whether it's furnished.

Can I stay in my home during a rewire?

Often, yes. We work room by room where possible and aim to leave you with working power at the end of each day.

Will I need to redecorate afterwards?

Cables are run inside walls and under floors, so some plaster patching is needed. Most people plan to redecorate once the rewire is finished.
