Most homes have more appliances than they were built for, and extension leads and adaptors end up doing the work instead. Overloaded adaptors are a common cause of overheating, so adding proper sockets is safer as well as tidier.

Shaver sockets can be fitted in bathrooms. Standard sockets are allowed only if they're at least 2.5 metres from the edge of the bath or shower zone, so we'll advise on the safest option.
Dead sockets on one side of the house, a socket circuit that keeps tripping or a ring broken by a loose connection can all leave a circuit unsafe. We test your ring main end to end, find the break or faulty socket and repair it properly.
